Inspirational Artists :: Carved Books
Montreal based artist Guy Laramee carefully carves vintage books, dictionaries and encyclopedias into various landscapes.
I love it when artists use materials not initially intended to be used for creating a work of art.
If you like his work, make sure you also check out the altered books made by Brian Dettmer.

Supply & Demand
My last order from Etsy earlier this week, wiped out my supply of woodland and paddle journals. So, I've been busy printing more and building up my supply.
I also printed my woodland trees onto one of the larger journals as requested by a friend. :)
Happy almost Labor Day weekend! What are your holiday plans?

Prints from the Past
It's always fun to look back at old work :: that said, I thought I would share a print I did before beginning this blog. This print was the very first lithograph I did while I was a post-baccalaureate student at Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy from 2007-2008.

Fresh Ink :: Recipe For
I printed the front side of the recipe cards last night and am pretty happy with how they turned out! It's been a bit laborious, and they're still not even finished at this point....but, it's always fun to try new things and keep it fresh. :)
Wishing you a happy weekend!

Paddle.Print.Inspiration.
Tim and I got back from our annual vacation/family reunion to the northwoods this week. While there, I enjoyed seeing the inspiration for what is my most popular print....the paddles!
