Yesterday was a very successful printing day! I printed more paddle prints, as well as a few paddle Moleskine Journals. I finished the day by printing the berry branches I recently finished carving. I can't wait for the ink to dry so I can go back and add a touch of red to each berry!

Berry Branch
I'm almost done carving my next print :: just have to carve out the center of each berry....which means straining focus and cramped fingers by the end of today! It'll be worth it though, I'm excited to see how this one will print!

Fresh Ink :: Birch
I just finished printing the birch trees :: FINALLY!
They were tricky to print since so much of the block had been carved away - leaving not much left for the paper to "grab onto." To be honest, I'm glad these trees are finally done...they took way longer to complete and were a bit finicky with all the fine lines and details.
Hope you have an enjoyable weekend!

Fresh Ink :: Breath of Spring
I love the little spring flowers this time of year. They're such a fresh welcome after the winter's snow.

New Beginnings
It's been a few years, but here I am printmaking again...FINALLY! Printmaking was my medium as an art major in college, and I'm embarrassed to say I haven't done any new prints since graduation.
Since getting back into things, I've loved creating new designs and have started a lengthy list of ideas. My first new print will be this little number. I'm thinking of hand-mixing a honey mustard ink for it. Could be cute on a notecard, or framed up to bring some life into a bathroom or living room....we'll see!
I'm so happy to be printmaking again! :)
